WASHINGTON — FBI Director James Comey announced Tuesday that he was referring the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server to prosecutors at the Department of Justice for a “prosecutorial decision.”

“There is evidence that they were extremely careless” with highly sensitive information, Comey said of Clinton and her aides. But, he added, “our judgement is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”
“No charges are appropriate in this case,” Comey said he would recommend to the DOJ.
The FBI announcement came days after Clinton met with investigators at the bureau’s headquarters in Washington. That was seen as a signal that the federal investigation could be winding down. Attorney General Loretta Lynch — facing criticism over her meeting with former President Bill Clinton — said Friday she would accept the recommendation of career prosecutors on the matter. 
Hillary Clinton had called the use of a private email server a mistake, but has said she didn’t break any laws.

 02/18/2016 02:01 am ET It's one of those Facebook posts that's all over the place, and -- like " the dress " or the  hidden panda  -- everyone seems to have a different take on it.  What is half a coconut plus one apple plus three bananas?  On the surface, it would seem the apple has a value of 10, the bananas a value of four and the coconut a value of two. And if that were the end of the story, the answer would be 2 + 10 + 4 = 16.  But in the final frame, the fruit are slightly different.  There is half a coconut, instead of two halves in the earlier example equation that establishes a value of two. And instead of the four bananas representing the value of four, there are just three bananas.  If the numbers are reduced along with the portions of fruit, you get a totally different answer: 1 + 10 + 3 = 14.   Which is the correct answer? Police: 22 y-o Devon Staples shoots off firework from top of his head, dies

CALAIS, Maine (AP) — A young man who was drinking and celebrating the Fourth of July tried to launch a firework off the top of his head, fatally injuring himself, authorities said Sunday. Devon Staples and his friends had been drinking and setting off fireworks Saturday night in the backyard of a friend's home in the small eastern Maine city of Calais, said Stephen McCausland, a spokesman for the state Department of Public Safety. Staples, 22, of Calais, placed a fireworks mortar tube on his head and set it off, he said. The firework exploded, killing Staples instantly, McCausland said. His death is the first fireworks fatality in Maine since the state legalized fireworks on Jan. 1, 2012, authorities said. Calais is on the Canadian border near New Brunswick. State fire marshals were also investigating several other Fourth of July fireworks accidents involving injuries in Friendship, Jefferson, Lebanon and Woodstock.
