TURN ON THE SIREN. RING THE BELL. SCREAM UNTIL YOU CAN SCREAM NO LONGER. FOR SERENA WILLIAMS IS PREGNANT. I REPEAT: SERENA WILLIAMS. IS. PREGNANT. 
That’s right: The tennis great announced on Snapchat Wednesday that she is 20 weeks pregnant with her first child. Do you know what this means? It means that our nation’s two queens, Beyoncé and Serena Williams, are both pregnant at the exact same time. 
Even more astonishingly, it means that Williams was pregnant when she won the Australian Open in January. The news comes just a few months after Williams announced that she’s engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian ― appropriately enough in a post on her fiancé’s site: more

CALAIS, Maine (AP) — A young man who was drinking and celebrating the Fourth of July tried to launch a firework off the top of his head, fatally injuring himself, authorities said Sunday. Devon Staples and his friends had been drinking and setting off fireworks Saturday night in the backyard of a friend's home in the small eastern Maine city of Calais, said Stephen McCausland, a spokesman for the state Department of Public Safety. Staples, 22, of Calais, placed a fireworks mortar tube on his head and set it off, he said. The firework exploded, killing Staples instantly, McCausland said. His death is the first fireworks fatality in Maine since the state legalized fireworks on Jan. 1, 2012, authorities said. Calais is on the Canadian border near New Brunswick. State fire marshals were also investigating several other Fourth of July fireworks accidents involving injuries in Friendship, Jefferson, Lebanon and Woodstock. HORACE HINES Observer West reporter  Thursday, July 30, 2015     MONTEGO BAY, St James — HIGGLERS across St James will now be banned from selling outside school gates come September as the parish council and police move to make these areas no-vending zone. Stalls at the gate of the Maldon High School in St James Mayor of Montego Bay Glendon Harris made the announcement yesterday: "We are to have a meeting with the vendors to remove the stalls. No vending at the school gate in the prescribed distance. We are going to be dealing with all the schools in the parish. Remember, we did Corinaldi Primary already and we did Anchovy High," Harris said. The fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Maldon High School student Romario Salmon, by a group of knife-wielding students, factored into the decision to prohibit vending at school gates.
