BIG BIG OUTRAGE IN JAMAICA: Man accused of impregnating teen three times charged.... She is currently pregnant with her third child for the accused, who is believed to be in his early 50s.

BY KIMONE FRANCIS Observer staff reporter francisk@jamaicaobserver.com  Monday, August 14, 2017 THE police unit responsible for investigating sexual and other abuses of children have arrested and charged a man accused of impregnating a teenage girl in the Lawrence Tavern community of St Andrew. The accused was charged by officers assigned to the Centre For Investigation Of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) with having sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16 years. On Friday, Detective Inspector Anderson at the unit told the  Jamaica Observe r that the man was granted bail, but that it was not known if he had taken up the offer. He made his first court appearance on July 14 after being arrested in June. He is to return to court on September 13.  Wednesday, August 09, 2017 The brutal murder of 17-year-old Mickolle Moulton at her home in Arnett Gardens on Sunday morning triggered condemnation by government officials, the police, and citizens. The 17-year-old, who was a Meadowbrook High School student, and her 12-year-old sister were shot in their bedroom by someone who pointed a gun through a window. Mickolle Moulton National Security Minister Robert Montague, in a press release, condemned the brutal killing and extended condolence to her family, all families affected by crime and violence, and pointed out that the murder, committed as Jamaica celebrated 55 years of Independence, is a harsh reminder of the realities we face as a nation. The Jamaica Constabulary Force, he said, has assured that no effort will be spared to bring to justice the criminal who carried out this dastardly act.
